Parish Nurse Ministry Services

Services provided by our Parish Nurse include:

• Promoting health advocacy
• Individual health counselling
• Educational programs and materials to promote a healthy lifestyle
• Visits to the congregation at home, hospital, and long-term care centres
• Referrals to community health resources
• An empathetic and knowledgeable ear to people in a health care crisis or experiencing life losses
• Assistance with church-related community outreach ministries such as the Food Cupboard.
• The Parish Nurse does not provide direct health care, and the Parish Nurse ministry is not meant to replace regular medical care.
